Ambleside Community SchoolTM provides a Christian liberal arts education that fosters the development of great minds and wide interests while nurturing each child's relationship to God and the world He created. It is our vision that the community would view Ambleside as a good choice for its children and that it would be emulated by other schools.
Ambleside employs the Charlotte Mason educational philosophy that allows a child to experience the world first hand, instead of relying on a teacher or textbook interpretation. In an affirming environment, children are encouraged to think independently: to discern ideas, to ask questions and to draw conclusions. Educational beliefs include an acceptance that education is an atmosphere, education is a discipline, education is a life, and education is the science of relations.
A high level of parent involvement also makes Ambleside a unique experience for students. We agree with recent studies that conclude a child's educational sucess is directly related to the level of parent participation. The more parents are involved in their child's education, the greater the chance for that child's success.

Besides the above subject areas, much learning takes place outside the classroom. Time is set aside every day for free discovery and play outdoors, and the children enjoy regular field trips.
